Hi, I’m Katherine ✿
Designer, artist, illustrator, puzzler, and mom to two great kids and three pets.
I grew up on Vancouver Island swimming with orcas and winning colouring contests. I was always the “arty” kid, constantly painting, sewing, collaging—basically, if it was creative, I was all in. Once I figured out I could turn my hobbies into a career I headed off to Halifax for a bachelor’s in Communication Design. With bright eyes and probably too much confidence, I headed straight to Toronto after graduation to begin my career.
Over the next decade, I worked everywhere—from big agencies to small boutique studios, non-profits to major tech companies. I was lucky to have incredible mentors and collaborate with amazing clients. Eventually, tiring of the frigid winters and sky-high rents, I moved to Canada’s second-priciest city (because why not?) and co-founded my own studio. For seven years, I specialized in cannabis branding and packaging design. Eventually, our top client brought me in as their in-house Creative Director.
During that time, I also launched two side ventures—a successful kids’ online clothing brand and a brick-and-mortar dispensary in Alberta that’s still running strong. I’ve kept up with painting and crafting, and most recently started illustrating a children’s book, set to release in 2025 (fingers crossed!).
